Ongoing Project with Adolescents
“Flora Assembly” — a one month journey involving secondary school students.
Drawing from the study of indigenous trees, we will establish a plant-human assembly, where young participants and the invited public convene to share inquiries and reflections, rooted in the relationship forged with these majestic botanical beings.

A Nossa Borda de água / Our Waterside is an intergenerational gazette to be developed alongside communities of children and the elderly. This publication will curate local botanical knowledge regarding the region’s trees, interwoven with personal experiences, oral histories, and reflections.

A arte de ser àrvore
Nesta Primavera, Alex Cassal, Clélia Colonna e Costanza Givone estiveram em residência no Jardim Botânico do Porto.
Por alguns dias, percorreram juntos os caminhos de gravilha e musgo por entre as árvores deste pequeno bosque urbano e exploraram as camadas de tempo depositadas no seu solo, a memória lenta do crescimento dos troncos e a tensão silenciosa entre raízes e cimento, o farfalhar discreto das folhas e o ruído constante dos carros na via rápida, como as águas de um rio a correr entre as pedras.
Encontraram os especialistas Joana Tinoco e Iúri Frias, a quem fizeram imensas perguntas.
E daí, floresceu um texto que se vai tornar num podcast a ser apresentado no Evento "O Tempo das Àrvores", que vai decorrer no dia 24 de Julho de 2026 na Galeria da Biodiversidade no Porto, cuja masterização vai ser feita pelo Joaquim Durães.
